60th Annual Niles Antique Faire & Flea Market

The much-awaited event returns to town with treasures and trinkets

The Annual Niles Antique Faire & Flea Market is back and Niles Main Street Association, organizers of this event, are excited to welcome you to downtown Niles!

The annual Niles Antique Faire & Flea Market is celebrating its 60th year this year and is being held on Aug. 25th. This fun-filled family event is expected to draw thousands of visitors and 100+ merchants from all over Bay Area. The extravaganza kicks off at 6 AM and runs all the way until 4 PM preceded by the famous pancake breakfast at 5 AM.

At the event visitors will find streets filled with vendors selling anything and everything from hand-made art and crafts, furniture, home and garden decor items to one-of-a-kind vintage clothing, accessories, and toys and collectibles from the yore. Smoke and aroma fill up the streets as food vendors are found selling fresh, off-the-grill hot dogs, barbecue, and other mouth- watering fair food. There will be face painters and balloon artists entertaining kids with their craft, artists drawing caricatures, musicians playing music, and several other hard-to-ignore attractions.

Admission and parking to the event are free for the visitors though visitors are warned of heavy traffic due to increased pedestrian traffic, road closures, and limited parking. Please consider using public transportation, carpool, or ride-hailing services as alternatives to driving. No pets are allowed at the event. Visit the event website for more information.

About Niles: One of the 5 districts in the city of Fremont, Niles is a quaint little historic town filled with tree-lined streets, surrounded by beautiful hills and lined with several antique stores, eateries, cafes, and bars. Nick-named as the “erstwhile Hollywood” it used to be a stomping ground for the likes of Broncho Billy Anderson and Charlie Chaplin who shot and produced silent movies in the early 1900s. You can still find Charlie Chaplin gifts and memorabilia at the Niles Essanay Museum on Niles Blvd. There is even a train caboose parked in one of the parking lots which turns into a beautiful back drop for many photographers and TikTok dancers over the weekend. You can find more information about Niles on the “Things to do” page on their website.

About Niles Main Street Organization (NMSA):

The Niles Main Street Association is a non-profit, community organization devoted to historic preservation and economic revitalization of the historic Niles commercial and residential district of Fremont, California, in part through Association-sponsored community events that benefit the Niles District.
