Do you LOVE dogs, the outdoors, and aren't afraid of getting dirty? Yes? Then come work with us!
Camp Four Paws is a fast paced doggie daycare and lodging facility located in rural Clayton.
We are looking for someone with:
1. a huge love of dogs,
2. a willingness to help us keep our kennel clean,
3. the grit to work hard (this is definitely a fast paced job)
4. the ability to listen and follow instructions (not following instructions with dogs can get you and everyone else in trouble),
5. good communication skills and a clean, neat appearance. This is a business.
6. Determination to do the best job possible.
7. Someone that understands talking too much at work is hard on other workers.
Dog care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual. People that tend to have success here often participated in an activity where they had an instructor or coach who gave them instructions and they were motivated to follow them. We use project lists that need to be followed.
We play outside with dogs, so you must be able to handle the cold, the heat, the dirt and dog slobber! This definitely is not a job where you are sitting down looking at your phone and just petting puppies. The ability and passion to follow instructions and follow a project list is important. We are busy busy busy!
We are located in rural Clayton, about 15 minutes from downtown Clayton, so please check where our facility is located before applying.
You must have your own transportation as we are not on a bus route. You also may need to take a dog to the Vet.
Please send a cover letter letting us know why you think you'd be a good fit for this job. No drop-ins please.
You Must Be Physically Able To:
o Handle large active dogs (50 lbs or more).
o Work in a standing position for long periods of time.
o Work weekends and shortened holiday shifts.
o Drivers license- we are in RURAL Clayton, please map us before applying.
This is a part-time position. We are currently looking for the weekend shifts but additional shifts will be available but everyone must work most weekends. Our shift hours are 7:30-1:30 and 3-9
This is the perfect job for students as long as you can work holidays and weekends so talk to your parents.
Pay: depends on experience, $20 and up if experienced, a little less if not. If you've worked at the shelter or another kennel that's a plus.
