FS: HeathKit MI-101 marine digital depth sounder vintage
With our uncle passing away, we inherited some audio, video, computer/networking, and electronics gear that includes this HeathKit marine MI-101 digital depth sounder. There is some wear and scratches in places, the knob itself is wonky, and overall could use a cleaning, but nothing that would impact the operation (that I could tell). I have been unable to find the Transducer, the manual, or the power supply.
My research online has folks building these in the 1970’s as a kit you purchased from Heathkit. The
Nixie Tube display should be really cool – if you could get this to work.
In my efforts to clean out and tidy up the garage I’m offering up this item to find a new home.
If you have any comments, questions, or concerns regarding the item or conditions of the offer, please feel free to send me a message. Asking $45 or Best Offer (OBO). Will consider all reasonable offers - I would rather have you benefit from having this in your home than sitting in my garage. Selling as is – as seen/depicted.
The item is located in the hills between San Leandro & Castro Valley area, and I travel to the peninsula, tri-valley, and south bay on an infrequent basis. Reasonable arrangements can be made for meeting up/pickup/drop off, keeping prudent pandemic precautions in mind (social distancing, do not meet when you are sick/asymptomatic, wear N95/KN95 mask, etc).
