Up for sale is a pristine condition Opera Consonance Reference 150 Tube-Solid State Integrated Amplifier. Tube preamp section and Class AB solid state. This is a beautiful example of HiFi gear that looks gorgeous and elegant and sounds just as good as it looks. The sound is rich, detailed, and has a lot of heft. Excellent bass, midrange and treble. This amp has a high damping factor of 800 which means deep and tight bass response. The preamp tube section was modified by a technician so the amp can accept a 12AU7 vacuum tube. The amp has 40,000 uF of filter capacitance in the amp section and 10,000 uF in the preamp section. It has 2 separate pre-out RCA outputs that can be used for subwoofers or can be used as entirely a preamplifier connected to separate power amplifier.
I have the original box, remote, manual and extra 12AU7 tubes by JJ and Mullard. I can include an NOS Amperex 12AU7 for extra $100 (these tubes sell for $150 at TubeDepot). Currently the preamp section has a NOS RCA 5814A (a low microphonic and rugged military version of the 12AU7).
This amp sells in Europe for €1,450 to €1,600 Euros before tax (which is equivalent to $1,682 to $1,856 USD before taxes)
