Up for sale is a beautifully preserved, collector-grade McIntosh MC250 Stereo Power Amplifier. As McIntosh’s very first solid-state amplifier design, the MC250 is legendary among audiophiles for its incredibly smooth, sweet, and distinctly "tube-like" sonic signature, combined with the bulletproof reliability of solid-state architecture.
Driven by McIntosh's proprietary multi-impedance Autoformers, this amplifier punches way above its rated weight, delivering effortless dynamics, a holographic soundstage, and absolute control over demanding vintage or modern loudspeakers.

Power Output: 50 Watts per channel into 4, 8, or 16 ohms (Stereo) / 100 Watts into 4, 8, or 16 ohms (Mono bridged).

Chassis & Chrome: Exceptional. The mirror-finish chrome chassis is highly reflective with none of the severe pitting or rust common to these units. The black "McIntosh 250" face badging is crisp, sharp, and entirely intact.
Transformers & Silk-Screening: The transformer potting blocks are deep black, and the white technical block diagrams/lettering are perfectly legible and free of fading.
Rear Terminal Panel: All barrier strip screws are original and in great shape. RCA inputs and the Stereo/Mono slide switch are clean and fully intact.
