Speakers cabinet are in good condition. All the drivers are in very good condition. There are some fading of finishing color on one speaker due to sun light and minor scratch, but remember they are 30+ years old.

John Bowers' final achievement. Amazing pair of fully functional John Bowers Active 1 speakers. Very seldom seen and never, ever, in this finish, a stunning brazilian rosewood veneer. The speakers are powered so simply plug them into your audio source( CD,Streaming) or a quality preamp and make this a one of the kind minimalist sound system. The Active 1 is bi-amplified, meaning both the high and low frequencies have their own amplifier. The system contains a six-inch woofer, six-inch midrange and a one- inch dome tweeter, powered by a selection of 100- to 300-watt-per-channel amplifiers. The speakers cost was $2,900 in the 80s, easily would cost 10K today to find an active speaker of this quality.
