For Sale Madrigal Proceed CD transport and DAC system, consisting of the Proceed PDT-3 transport which originally retailed for $3000, and the matching Proceed PDP-3 DAC digital processor which retailed for $2500. Both units are in outstanding condition for their age.
Both units work flawlessly, and the sound out of this setup is simply amazing and has been considered one of the best CD sources by many critics.
The PDP-3 uses Burr-Brown 20 bit PCM63 DACs and has eiaj (toslink), st, aes (balanced), and coax digital inputs, as well as balanced and analog line out and coax digital out. The PDT-3 uses the famous highly regarded Philips CDM-4 transport mechanism and has the four aforementioned digital outputs (eiaj/toslink, st, aes/balanced, and coax.)
Use a good connector cable and the sound is pretty much unbeatable! The only issue with this pair is that I do not have the remote for the PDT-3
