JBL C34 / C40 Speakers, 8 ohm, near mint Drivers, Close SN’s, Exc Cabs - $1,700 (berkeley)

I list these as “C34/C40” because they appear to be professionally made from the C40 plans but are vertical like the C34. They also have a flat back, like the C40. Whoever built them did a very good job, including some materials upgrades and such.
The drivers and crossovers are all original, all in mint condition. The crossovers have never been opened (original rivets are in place) and the D130 cones have the correct part numbers. You can see in the pictures that the cones have a coated edge. While this is not common, I have found that the later model D130s did come with the D130f cone sometimes, and that’s what these are. The serial numbers back this up by manufacture period. The bullet tweeters appear original, as well.
The cabinets are walnut veneered and very well made. They have solid backs, while the baffle is removable. The internal construction includes blind dado joints and good reinforcement. The D130’s are front mounted, rather than rear, making them much easier to inspect / service. The grills are held with Velcro, and remove easily.
The components are a JBL D130-030 set, 8 ohm version, as describe below.

JBL D130, Serial Numbers 89560 and 90275 (715 apart)
Tweeters:
JBL 075, Serial Numbers 84675 and 84695 (20 apart)
These speakers work perfectly and sound amazing. I will sell the drivers alone, if interested (currently posted separately.)
