McIntosh PC-2 Very Capable Power Conditioner/Sequencer - $450 (alameda)

In mint condition, works as it should.
A recent eBay seller/audio guru described the great McIntosh PC-2 power conditioner/sequencer as
far superior to both of the newer and more-updated PC-3 and the PC-4. The PC-2 has a more rugged and better-quality construction than the other two, and it's power cord is a massive, heavy-gauged wire with one of the best heavy-duty molder plugs ever seen on 'vintage gear'. As well, the PC-2's outlets are far superior to the outlets fitted on both the PC-3 and PC-4.
The PC-2 lacks 12V triggers, so the only way to take advantage of their sequential turn-on function is the plug in the secondary cord into the receptacle of a preamplifier. And since the secondary receptacle is the older-style polarized two-pronged version, the PC-2 is better suited to protect older, vintage McIntosh gear.
Cosmetically, this unit is a conservative 9/10 on the AudiogoN rating scale. Its cords are in stellar condition, and both AC plugs have excellent and clean brass. It is spotless. Operationally, it works perfectly: all receptacles work, all lights illuminate, the sequential functions operates as it should.
After all, it is a McIntosh. Looked after properly, it will should last for a very, very long time.
