ASSOCIATE ENGINEER
Annual Salary: $159,816 - $193,220

Central San, a progressive public utility, is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Resource Recovery and Development Services Division. This position will perform responsible, professional engineering work in the review and permitting of new sewer main projects designed and constructed by external applicants, ensuring compliance with Central San’s codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. The role also evaluates and secures appropriate land rights for the proposed infrastructure and supervises the Real Property workgroup, which supports multiple divisions across the organization. This position plays a key role in supporting the Senior Engineer by providing technical expertise, improving processes, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Development Services team.
Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in engineering or a closely related field.
Experience:
Five years of experience in professional engineering, preferably in District engineering projects. (prefer experience in sewer/water utility pipeline engineering projects)
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a professional engineer issued by the State of California.
