We are seeking a responsible, patient, and caring college student or an experienced early childhood or special education teacher to work with our 7-year-old son on weekends.
Candidates with experience in early childhood education, tutoring, or special education are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and engage the child in a safe, positive environment
• Play educational and interactive games
• Practice simple conversational English
• Sing English nursery rhymes and songs
• Participate in light physical activities and sports
• Teach basic writing, painting, and math skills
Child Background:
He is a happy and sweet boy with a language development delay. He was born during COVID and had limited interaction with other children early on. We are a bilingual/multilingual family, which may have contributed to his language delay.
He currently speaks simple words, short phrases and sentences. He needs support in:
• Expanding vocabulary
• Gaining life experiences
• Increasing physical activity
• Learning new skills through positive interaction and play
We are looking for someone patient, caring, and engaging who can support his language development and overall growth. Our goal is to help him grow up healthy, confident, and happy.
