Independent Caregivers Wanted–Flexible, Private-Pay Clients (Registry) (fremont / union city / newark)

Pay is set and provided directly by the family. Rates vary by client, experience, and scope of care. GoldenPath does not set wages or issue payment.

This is an ongoing caregiver registry opportunity, not a one-time gig, not an agency job, and not employment.
Caregivers work directly with families, choose their availability, and are paid by the client. Because of this, caregivers are not required to be licensed through IHSS or a state agency unless the family specifically requests it.
Who this is for:
- Experienced caregivers, companions, CNAs, HHAs, Nursing, EMT, or pre-health students
- Individuals providing companionship, supervision, and daily-living support
Typical support may include:
- Companionship and supervision
- Meal prep and light housekeeping
- Transportation and errands
- Routine reminders (including time-based medication reminders — no administration)
- Daily structure and support for seniors or adults needing oversight
What we offer:
- Access to private-pay clients (no agency middleman and therefore generally higher pay)
- Some families may use long-term care insurance for caregiver reimbursement, depending on their policy
- Flexible schedules (part-time, full-time, live-out)
- Organized care plans and clear expectations
- Optional coordination support to reduce miscommunication with families
Requirements (often requested by families):
- Prior caregiving experience preferred
- Ability to pass a background check (client-requested)
- TB test or health clearance (client-requested)
- Reliable communication and professionalism
Important notes (please read):
- You are not employed by GoldenPath Support Services
- You work independently and accept or decline clients
- Pay rate and schedule are agreed upon directly with the family
- Caregivers are paid directly by the family; some families may seek insurance reimbursement depending on their policy
- GoldenPath provides coordination and structure — not medical care
