Hi there! We are a pet-loving couple (34f and 37m) seeking a responsible and caring individual to become our go-to pet sitter for our two furry children: "O", a charming 14lb cockapoo, and "Bee", our lovable 60lb shepherd/staffy mix. Names are anonymized for this post.

About Bee [Please note: Reactive Dog, Requires Time]:

Bee, our shepherd/staffy mix, joined our family at 8 weeks old and has been a bundle of energy and love ever since. She is highly reactive to strangers and other dogs when my husband and I are around. Includes barking, growling, etc (NO biting) for an extended period of time. When we are gone - we've heard that she is easier to manage, but NEEDS to be ignored (or distracted with a ball) to stop the barking.

I want to stress the nature of her reactivity, as upon meeting her - she does appear very "scary," especially to those not experienced with dogs. Please know that she does NOT bite, and just requires ignoring and/or ball distraction. Do not try to talk to her or "win" her over. Bee also experiences severe separation anxiety, so we're looking for a sitter who can offer the comfort and care she needs while we're away.

About O:

O is our small black cockapoo, and he's as cute as can be! He enjoys his own space and is NOT a fan of being picked up. O is pretty laid-back, doesn't suffer from separation anxiety, and loves barking at new people for about 10 minutes – it's his way of saying hello!

Both Dogs:

Treats and fetch are their absolute favorites! They have a spacious backyard to play in. Feel free to raid the fridge stocked with your preferences.

Responsibilities:

1) Spend Wednesdays (12:00-7:00pm) and Fridays (4:00-10:00pm) at home with our dogs, without leaving them home alone at any point. I do have a home office set up if you have another job (for WFH set up). Of course, the sitter would be welcome to use the TV, kitchen, etc. while at our home. Occasionally, we would want you to watch our dogs during the weekend (8 hrs max), but would give you a couple of weeks heads up to make sure the timing works.

2) Let the dogs out to pee in the backyard 2-3 times, if needed (they generally will let you know if they need to go out); they will just sleep throughout the day. NO WALKING - just letting them outside in the backyard.

Compensation:
- Daytime: $100 per visit/day - $200/week (for just 2 days).

Background / About Us:

My job requires me to be in the office 2x per week (Wednesdays and Fridays). Unfortunately, since one of my dogs (Bee) has severe separation anxiety (howls to the point of disturbing neighbors and being destructive in the house), my husband would need to stay home while I'm working. Given his job as an Uber/Lyft/Delivery driver - this impacts his ability to work. As a result, we need a dog sitter 2x/week so that we can both work while the sitter stays with our dogs. Our dogs mean the world to us, which is why we're seeking a long-term pet sitter who can form a genuine connection with them. Once they warm up to you, get ready for some serious snuggle time!

Additional Detail:

Filming and documenting your pet-sitting experience is welcome, as long as our location remains anonymous, and there are no home photos (pictures of me or my husband) in the videos.

If you're a patient, loving, and responsible pet enthusiast who can commit to our furry friends, we'd love to hear from you! Please reach out to us with a brief introduction and your pet care experience (experience with reactive dogs a plus, but not required, as long as you are comfortable around dogs and are not frightened by barking/growling). Don't forget to include links to social media and/or relevant website so we can properly vet you.

Looking forward to finding the perfect companion for O and Bee! 🐢🏑
