I am a small business owner (music-related) that recently moved back to California from Taiwan. I’m simultaneously attending university, so the workload has become a bit too high for me to handle alone. I’m looking for a personal assistant for ~10–15 hours a week: once a week 4–6 hours on-site at my home office, and the remaining hours remote and flexible.
My working style fits best with a person with good self-initiative and independent work ethic. I want to describe a problem I have to you, and have you go off and research how to solve it. Come up with the options and run them by me, and then go and make it happen.
The most pressing concern at the moment is to scan receipts in order to get ready to send off numbers to the accountant for taxes. (Very basic accounting and I will train you on how to use the tools. The complicated accounting work will be done by the CPA.)
Other typical work types:
* Run errands (e.g. dry cleaning, etc.)
* Research options for services/doctors/etc.
* Make appointments and calls
* File government paperwork for business
* Organize papers, keep track of mail, take care of routine items and flag important mail that needs action from me
I can offer $22/hr, and I would be willing to pay more if you have one or both of the following:
* Basic Chinese reading skills
* Background in instrumental music
Please include details in your response if you have either/both of the above.
I will cover expenses, as well as lunch on days you’re on site. Having a car is needed, though you may not always need to drive it here.
Please send CV/résumé and a quick description of any kind/size of project you managed and how your skills helped to make it go smoothly.
