Hi, I’m looking for someone fun, reliable, and athletic(or can keep up) to spend time with my 7 year old.
This could be after school, occasional weekends, school breaks, or random adventure days. I’m open to one person doing a lot of it, or a few different people doing different things depending on what works.
Some days would be simple, like playing at home, going to the park, swimming, building things, or playing games. Other days could be more of an adventure, like going to a trampoline park, the pool, a museum, a hike, Russian River for the day, or joining us for a family outing where it would be helpful to have another adult along.
Sometimes I may need someone to take my child to an activity and stay there during it, not just drop off. So helping get there, staying through the activity, keeping an eye on things, encouraging participation, and staying engaged.
My kid is very active, funny, curious, and asks a million questions. Interests include physics, Minecraft, YouTube, swimming, building things, games, and whatever the current obsession is that week. Someone smart, playful, and actually interested in talking with a curious kid would be great.
This is not a job for someone who wants to sit on their phone. I’m looking for someone who can play, move around, talk, be silly, help keep things positive, and use good judgment.
This could be a good fit for a college student, grad student, athlete, camp counselor type, education or psychology student, musician, science person, outdoorsy person, or someone who just genuinely likes kids and has good energy. It would be especially great to find a positive male role model, but I’m open to the right person.
If you have a special interest or skill you’d enjoy sharing, tell me. Sports, swimming, piano, chess, science, foreign language, building projects, nature, art, cooking, gardening, running around outside, anything like that could be great. You do not need to be a professional teacher or coach. I care more about someone being safe, warm, mature, kind, reliable, and genuinely engaged.
Please reply with a little about yourself, your availability, your experience with kids, your hourly rate, whether you drive, and what kinds of activities you’d actually enjoy doing with a kid.
before school would be 7:30am-9:00am
after school would be 3:10pm-5:00pm
weekend would be 5-6 hour shift
