For Sale is my 1965 Mk 1 Sunbeam Tiger. The car was purchased new from British American Imports - Don Hampton of Palo Alto, California November 11th 1965. I have the original Sales Receipt here showing that the car was purchased for $3,648.95 which included the options of Seat Belts, Tonneau Cover, White Walls & Heater. This car is a legitimate show winning car. Most recently took Best of Class in the Dixon California All British Car Show. See awards in pictures. This car (with whoever owns it) next year can be in the “Winner’s Lineup” of 2025 Best in Class winners.
This Tiger was the last restoration of Paul Reisentz of Camino, California. As far as anyone can tell, this car has been a California car since new. The car now has a Ford Performance 302 Crate Motor (with a hipo cam) and a Tremec 5-speed. The gearing is 2.88:1. Dana 44. This car handles very well and is not for the faint of heart when pushed. Around town it’s tame, fun to drive and turns heads. The car’s current color is Oxford Blue which is very close to its original color of Midnight Blue. Car has 13” LAT 70 alloy wheels, leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel. Motor has less than 4K miles on it. It truly is an amazing motor as I’ve measured it getting 22 miles per gallon on the freeway. I mostly drive the car under 20 miles at a time and ONLY ONLY on fair weather days. The car comes with an “uninstalled” Soft Top that needs to be assembled. I never intended to drive it with the top up, so I never installed it, but I do believe I have all the parts to the soft top. I do not have a hard top for the car. Car has black interior. The car was TAC’d in 2004 when owned by Mr Reisentz.
The car also has, Dual Gate Flow Master mufflers, 205/60 series vredestein tires (less than 4K miles) Holly 600 CFM carb, Auxiliary fan.
This car has been my life long dream of owning a Tiger. I’m selling to make room in the checkbook for more toys. I’m asking $65K - feel free to email me to start the conversation.
