The good:
1) Clean title.
2) Starts, runs and drives.
3) A/C, heater and defroster all work perfectly.
4) Tags are good till August.
5) No check engine light, and vehicle is completely stock - it will pass smog with flying colors.
6) Has some life left.
The bad:
1) I just walked outside to check on it, get the mileage, and start it up, only to discover that someone just backed into it. The driver side headlight casing is cracked open, and now the front bumper has some damage. I didn’t even get the courtesy of an apology note. Smh.
2) Needs all 4 new shocks.
3) Needs all 3 mounts replaced (both engine, and a trans mount.
4) Will need 4 new tires.
5) Will need a new driver seat.
6) A complete exterior and interior detail.
7) A new dial/button for the infotainment center and radio - it works but it falls into the center console.
8) A complete tune-up to include a trans fluid exchange and filter.
Takeaway: Overall, it’s a decent vehicle that still has some life in it. Definitely needs some TLC and elbow grease. Can be used as a good replacement/parts car for another Mazda 3 if you’re not willing to fix it up.
