This is a very special 1996 BMW Z3 finished in Alpine White over Tan Nappa leather. It’s a two-owner California car since new, and one of the rarest model Z3s you will find. It was optioned with the extremely rare Dinan Signature S2 Package, the most sought-after performance upgrade from the era. This dealer-installed package includes a, Stage 1 Dinan engine software, extremely rare free-flow Dinan exhaust, Dinan front and rear sway bars, Dinan-branded pedals and floor mats and trunk mat, and Stage II suspension with Bilstein shocks, a Rare Vintage Saratoga saddle bag and a fully upgraded period correct upgraded stereo system with an upgraded amp. These are tasteful upgrades and is very well put together.
The interior is in mint. Everything functions as it should, and all Dinan branding and badges are intact. The Alpine White paint is all original and has been carefully maintained, showing excellent depth and shine, with no fading or major flaws. This Z3 has always been a California car, never exposed to winter roads, and has been kept in a garage for most of its life.
Mechanically, this car has been meticulously maintained to keep it in top condition. The oil pan and valve cover gaskets have been replaced, the entire cooling system has been redone, and all suspension links and arms have been refreshed to factory specifications. The clutch has been replaced with a brand-new OEM unit and feels tight and precise. Oil changes are performed regularly using Swepco 5W-30 full synthetic oil, specifically formulated for BMW M52 engines, keeping the engine in excellent health.
The Getrag 5-speed manual transmission provides a connected and engaging driving experience that perfectly complements the upgraded engine and suspension. Additional features include a factory CD stereo, premium sound, and climate control, providing comfort alongside performance.
