This 1968 Ford Mustang is a factory C-Code car which has been modified with a 302ci V8 with 289 heads and a C4 automatic. The car has also been repainted to its present black from Seafoam green, and it remains otherwise original with correct floors, torque boxes, and frame members. Recent services included a new water pump, rebuilt front suspension, new leaf springs and torsion bar bushings, and the car has been upgraded with power steering. the paint job on this Mustang is about ten years old, it is overall in good condition. P No rust bubbles are noted in the doors, rockers, or behind the wheels, and the inner aprons and quarters are original. Garage Kept
It has new Magnum 500 alloy wheels. The tires are BFGoodrich Radial T/As measuring 235/60r15 on the rear, and 215/65r15 at the front. The tires are date coded from 2014 and show 90-95% tread depth
The interior has a largely original appearance, and includes an aftermarket Mustang-branded steering wheel and an older Alpine head unit in the stock location. The door rubbers and window felts have been replaced, and interior features work correctly save the clock and the driver's door switch for the interior light. The headliner shows a 1″ cut.
The original V8 has been swapped out for a period-correct 302 block with 289 heads, an Edelbrock 4v aluminum manifold with matching Edelbrock carb, and short tube headers. Several cosmetic modifications are present, including a set of black Wieland finned aluminum valve covers and a 289 HiPo air cleaner. The water pump was replaced in the last few months, and the the engine is clean internally with the valve covers removed. A Monte Carlo Bar is fitted. The C4 Automatic transmission was recently serviced and inspected, and is in good order.
The front end has been rebuilt with new bushings in the control arms, new sway bar bushings and torsion bar bushings, and new ball joints. The rear end is a Ford 8″ and the suspension features rear air shocks and new rear leaf springs.
