I've had this beautiful car for about 6 years and it's been great and reliable. These VW diesel engines are known to go 400,000+ miles (also used in Volkswagen Golf TDIs). Recently, the car was diagnosed with needing a new EGR cooler—it currently runs, but will sputter and hesitate. The car has a salvage title due to a hit and run where the car got sideswiped on the driver side (cosmetic only—no engine, frame, or suspension damage). It has been professionally repaired. The DPF and timing belt were both replaced at 120,000 miles. This could be a special car for a mechanic.
