Hand Drawn Portraits, Caricatures, Cartoons, and Concept Art w/ Video (berkeley)

I'll draw anything you want, in any style you'd like, backed by more than 16 years of experience as a commercial artist and designer. I also offer time lapsed videos of your piece being drawn. It makes for a wonderful gift that any friend, loved one, or family member will never forget. Your pets won't appreciate it, but I've drawn and painted plenty of them too.

Stylized portraits, full figure renderings, cartoons, caricatures, comics, and sketches of friends, family, and loved ones are popular options, but I'm continually tasked with doing new and interesting things every day for personal and professional use. Your piece is drawn and painted digitally, so it can never be lost or destroyed, and can be printed on anything you want, at any size you'd like, at any point in time you see fit.

In no particular order, the following tend to be popular options, but I'm continually tasked with doing new and interesting things:

• A portrait or full figure rendering of you or someone you know doing whatever you want in any style you'd like. I personally like rendering people in styles related to their interests and personalities, and enjoy making them look good, not demeaningly bad.
• Couples and newly weds drawn together to commemorate key moments in their relationship, shared goals, or future aspirations.
• Larger scale portraits of family and friends coming together with more authentic expressions than a photograph can capture.
• Comics with friends, family, and coworkers in them drawn to leave everyone dying of laughter.
• Pet portraits they will never appreciate, but everyone else will.
• Concept art for your film, game, comic, or cover.
• Storyboards for your movie, app, ad, or game.
• Erotica and kinky looking things of all kinds that you shouldn't show children.
• Veteran family members in their glory days going to war in stylized format.
• Memorable moments in your life, or that of others, drawn to remember them every time you see them.
• Stylized portraits and full figured renderings that are flattering, not demeaning.
• More traditional caricatures that are humorous and not as flattering.
• Your son, daughter, or boyfriend drawn in the style of their favorite animation, comic, or video game.
• Sports fans and athletes drawn in the uniforms and activities of their athletic heroes.
• Children doing embarrassing things you don't want them to ever forget.
• Bosses, managers, and teachers taken down a notch or held high in appreciation, depending on your mood.
• Over the top stuff, like grandpa riding a unicorn or your wife delivering the final blow to Ganon in a Zelda game.
• Author bio pics, as well as social media images for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and whatever's next.
• Redrawn scenes from your favorite anime or manga, or to illustrate your fanfic.
• Professionally done versions of your DnD characters and role playing avatars.
• All manner of things realistic, stylized, animated, cartoony, and everything in between.

I personally prefer things to be more stylized, fun, flattering, and at times humorous, but the final product is entirely up to you. Depending on the scope of the piece, I'll even include you at key points in the process if you'd like so you can have a chance to request reasonable revisions or changes within the original terms of the project. Because I can vary what I make so widely, I can make something work for almost any budget. Whether it's a sketch or a painting, your ideas or mine, we can make something work for what you're after.

I also teach classes and provide instruction on how to do all of the above and more. Popular reasons for learning that are to draw well enough to get paid, or for personal and professional enrichment.

How it Works

• Contact me and we'll work out what you want, whether it's a portrait, sketch, caricature, cartoon, comic, or whatever you'd like, done in any style you fancy.
• If applicable, send or link me reference pictures of who you want me to draw, ideally with good lighting and from multiple angles in high resolution. The more the better. I can't capture someone's likeness very well if I can't see it.
• I'll give you an estimate on time and cost, we'll setup contract and payment, and I'll get to work. Simple things generally have a quick turnaround between 1-7 business days, longer things can take more time depending on my workload and what you're after. If you need it by a specific day, best contact me as early as possible. Expediting is also possible for a fee if needed.
• If the scope of the piece is large enough, I can send you work in progress images so you can review things and potentially request a revision or change while it's still easy to do and reasonable to accomplish.
• I finish up whatever it is and send it your way in a suitable digital format. If you paid for a video, that too.
• You can buy printed and potentially framed versions in any size or medium you want, but it's cheaper and easier to handle that yourself, if you want it handled at all.
