Resolve complex Apple Music issues including integrations with music-related Apple apps, IOS, and Sonos. The desired outcome is full ability to play all my music and playlists on wireless speakers controlled on a robust IOS app. All I want is to play my music at home, while protecting a multi-decade investment in a large database of music, much of it obscure, all owned and resident on hard drive — not streaming. The system, which formerly worked very well with pre-voice-control Sonos speakers, got messed up as a result of Sonos’s well-known catastrophic software changes of several years ago. The music database is now cleaned up and functions well on a dedicated server, but problems remain: 1) not all music and playlists show up in IOS (grayed out - seems to be a permissions issue). 2) It’s not clear whether Apple/Sonos integration still works as it used to — apparently Apple changed the API when it started competing with Sonos in wireless speakers. Can I regain full functionality on my Sonos speakers or do I need to find another brand of (preferably not “smart”) wireless speakers? 3) My legacy playlists heavily use the old Apple Music 5-star rating system; is it still technically possible to rate songs using the 5-star system on IOS devices? NOTE: Any use of AI must be on your devices, not mine.
