This mid century set of 2 ounce shot or cordial glasses was made by Iittala, a Finnish company that was established in 1881. Iittala specializes in design objects, tableware and cookware. Their mid century and current glassware was, and is, design by notable designers, including Tapio Wirkkala who started designing glass for Iittala in 1946 and whose works where mass produced starting in 1954.
Each glass is made out of clear, textured glass, made to look like snow ice. There is a protruding lip on the upper part of the glass, for added interest and easy gripping. These glasses stack nice for space saving storage. Although, you will want to keep these glasses on display when not in use.
