For those unaware, Land Shark is designed and built by John Slawta who built the bikes for the 7-11 racing team. This bike is the frame fork and headset only. It is built with Columbus Max tubing. It handles at high speeds perfectly. They achieved a first in the Giro Italia with Andy Hampsten, with help from Bob Roll. Most of the 7-11 team were famous and they did everything from stage wins in Grand Tours to overall placings. Bob Roll is the announcer for the Tour De France these days.
There are a couple of spots where some rust is evident since it is from the 2000's. But they can be easily cleaned and it is painted with artists paint that you could get from Michaels. So covering the few rust spots is easy.
More and more people are changing back to steel bikes and this is as steel as they get. Columbus doesn't make this tubing set anymore and Slawta only made these on special order. His son painted the bike this dramatic color combination. I rode this bike a large amount and it is as solid as they come.
As you can see in the photos it isn't rust on the drive side chainstay but scraped paint and it is almost entirely in the yellow paint making it easy to repair with paint from Michaels.
The headset was replaced with a sealed bearing unit. The under bottom bracket wire guide is present.
