I am selling my family canoe because we don't use it anymore and would like to give someone else a chance to have as much fun with it as we did.
Features... The canoe is a 17 ft Grumman double-ended aluminum canoe in very good condition. It is the Standard Double-Ender made from 0.051 inch-thick aluminum alloy and weighs 75 lbs.
✔️ Heat-treated marine aluminum alloy. All Grumman canoes are made from 6061 marine aluminum alloy -- the finest aluminum for watercraft. All Grumman canoe parts are heat-treated in an electric furnace to the ultimate strength of a T-6 temper. As a result, the aluminum will withstand pressures up to 35,000 pounds per square inch before denting. It will withstand impacts up to 42,000 pounds per square inch before puncturing. The same material with only a T-4 tempering will puncture at impacts of 30,000 pounds per square inch. In other words, impacts that could puncture other canoes wouldn't even dent your Grumman. That's a good thing to know when you take your family canoeing. It means safety for you and long life for your canoe.
✔️ Fresh or Saltwater canoeing is fine. Since your Grumman canoe is made of marine aluminum, you can use it in salt water just as freely as you do in fresh water.
The sailing kit is included, although it has not been used by us so we cannot offer guidance as to how do you set or guarantee. There is also a electric motor which has not yet been tested. The canoe itself is worth well over $1200. The rest is just thrown in.
