My goals
Sail in the winter!
Spend 4 to 8 weeks out there between November and April, in one trip or several
Sleep on the boat most of the time, though I would stay with relatives some
Explore the Bay by boat
Take relatives out once in a while

Looking to reduce costs and have a helping hand keeping your boat running
Conscientious about keeping the boat in safe operating condition
Maybe have a boat sitting unused most of the week
If you're boat shopping this would be a way to afford a better boat in better condition. If it's your first boat I can offer
- Advice on buying or owning a sailboat (I'm not an expert have some experience)
- 6 years of insurance history if you're doing full coverage
- Instruction if you need it

14 years sailing dinghies in a co-op
6 years co-owning a 1984 S2 9.2 (30') on Lake Superior
Charter history up to 39', including on SF and Tampa bays
Experience with regular maintenance (changing oil, belts, filters, rebuilding toilets...)
A fan of checklists
The boat
30'ish (small enough to singlehand easily, big enough to be comfortable)
Sails (I'm a sailor, not a poweror)
Reliable (upkeep is fine but I want to sail, not fix things the whole time I'm out there)
Comfortable to stay aboard
- Dry (i.e. not mildewy)
- Headroom over 6'
- A comfortable berth
- A head and enough of a galley for overnighting
