We are located in the heart of Downtown Martinez. The Martinez Work Room offers 175 square feet of professional office space within a mixed-use commercial building.

$30/hour - Cash ($25 for students)

$35/hour - Venmo ($30 for students)

List of Rules & General Information

1. General Information

• This space is suitable for about 1–2 people (3 with prior approval).
• Perfect for studying, job interviews, Zoom calls, and remote work.

2. Accessibility & Power Outages:

• We have an on-site elevator available for guests who need it.
• Please note that the elevator’s control room is located inside Luigi’s Deli, which opens at 9:00 AM.
• If you require elevator access for an 8:30 AM booking, we recommend reaching out to us ahead of time.
• While the elevator is typically operational, access to the control room before 9:00 AM is limited, so we want to ensure everything runs smoothly for your visit.

In the rare event of an internet outage lasting longer than 15 minutes:

• We’ll make sure you’re only charged for usable time.
• 1-hour bookings: If the outage lasts more than 15 minutes, your session will be free.
• 2–4-hour bookings: You’ll receive a refund for the time lost. If the outage affects half or more of your booking, you’ll receive a 75% refund.
• Full-day (5+ hours) bookings: You’ll receive a refund for the time lost. If the outage affects half or more of your scheduled time, you’ll receive a full refund.

We want to be transparent and fair — you’ll never pay for time you couldn’t use, and we’ll handle any issue promptly.

3. Discounts:

• Students receive $5 off any rate with valid student ID at the time of booking.
• Mental health professionals receive $5 off any rate with proof of credentials and valid liability insurance (Certificate of Insurance, COI).
• Although we have a white-noise machine, please note that we are located right next to reception. A general conversational amount of sound with the white-noise machine is soundproof, but anything louder may not be.

4. Noise:

• We provide a white noise machine for additional soundproofing.
• However, please note that this space is located next to the reception area and the tenants-only kitchen.
• We cannot control sounds that occur within the building or from Castro Street below.
• Headphones are strongly recommended, as refunds will not be issued for sound-related disruptions.
• We also ask that you keep noise inside the room at a general conversational level to avoid disturbing other tenants.

5. Additional Rules:

• No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or substances!
• Please do NOT wander around the building. You will be asked to leave with no refund. The receptionist will show you where the bathroom is.
• Please do NOT use the fridge. It is for tenants only. You will be asked to leave again, with no refund. You are welcome to use the microwave, but please clean up after yourself.
• There are two windows attached to reception. They are very frosted, so no one will see more than a shadow into your space, but all the blinds must stay open at all times to provide natural light to reception. The receptionist will knock on the door to reinform you if you do not follow these rules.
• You may order food delivery, but you must be here to receive it and coordinate with whoever is bringing it to you. The receptionist is not responsible for being present to notify you if your food is here or anything else.
• We are a small, new business. We ask that you please do not eat directly on the couch and let us know if there are any spills or damage to anything. If you would like to sit and eat at the couch, please use the coffee table.
• We will absolutely, under no circumstance, give you a key to any doors. You are licensing the space for a specific time frame. You do not hold tenant rights.
• You are responsible for the safety of your belongings.
• We want to work with you if there is an issue. We will always show you the respect you deserve, we ask you do the same. We are super friendly and there is almost always a solution to any issue!
