This bike is a 1970's era Cinelli SuperCorsa copy that was artisan-built in Marin County, California in the early 1980s. It measures (along the seat tube) 58 cm from center of bottom bracket to top of top tube.
The frame is Columbus steel tubing with a Cinelli SC bottom bracket. The head tube lugs, collar lug, seat stay top tips and the fork crown all appear Cinelli. The drop-outs front and rear are Campagnolo. No decals or badging anywhere on the original dark purple frame. There are no signs of any crashes. Only a few minor paint nicks and scrapes, as well as minor surface rust spots which may polish out.
The bike is fitted with all-original Campagnolo Nuovo Record components throughout, including the headset bearings and side-pull brakes. The Campagnolo crank arms are 170mm with a manufacture date of 1979. Has Cinelli bars and stem and a 27.2mm Campagnolo seat post with a Unicanitor saddle branded Cinelli.
The original wheels are Super Champions for tubulars, built on Campagnolo small-flange hubs. The bike still has possibly the original tires showing almost no tread wear, which will probably disintegrate on re-inflation as they are now over 35 years old. Everything appears very low miles. A superb vintage Italian road racing ride awaits after your easy restoration effort.
