The Road Racer SL01 is made from a full carbon frame, and includes a full carbon tapered fork and carbon seat post. The integration of these three components allows BMC to cater the ride characteristics of the entire frameset towards a specific purpose. The 1-1/8" - 1-1/4" tapered fork allows for a larger downtube junction, ensuring front end stiffness and steering precision. The iSC frame (integrated Skeleton Concept) seat stays positioned low on the seat tube, as well as less carbon near the top from the top tube. This allows the seat tube and seat post to have more vertical compliance, making a better ride overall. The seat tube expands to the maximum with the bottom bracket shell will allow, guaranteeing stiffness and quick acceleration when it's needed. Internal cable routing ensures the classic BMC frame lines aren't obstructed by unsightly cables and help keep contaminants from degrading shifting performance.
