Made in Japan by one of Japans greatest bike builders Panasonic. Panasonic was so good at what they did that many other companies would hire them to make their bikes because they could do it better. Schwinn as one example of a company that used them to make most of their higher end models that were just under the Paramount. Sometime in the 80s Panasonic started making its own bikes branded under their name. One of the greats next to companies like Miyata, Bridgestone and Fuji.
This DX 4000 model was second in line for that year. The had a 6000 and 5000 but they were the same frame with different components. Made with the high end steel of Tange #2 this bike rides and behaves like a nice steel bike should. Out fitted with Shimano's Sport LX components in the white anodized color makes for a stunning color combination. Just screams flambouant 80s!
