The Rad Mini 4 is a 20 inch fat tire ebike with 7 forward gears, and can be folded roughly in half nose-to-tail in less than a minute for packing. Handle bars and pedals fold in too.
Bought new in early 2023 for $1400. Purchased for leisure. Used for short street rides to the store 2 or 3 times a month for several months before storing.
Bike has 5 levels of cadence pedal-assist (or off) and the throttle can be used to join with or overpower the pedals at any time.
Upgrades:
- RAD high output headlamp.
- Large, multi-color LCD display and computer with more riding and tuning options. Options include: more cadence pedal speeds, walk-beside mode, and cruise control mode. Also adds many motor power/speed or battery life options.
- Tektro disk brake pads (stops faster and requires less hand force)
- 20 amp motor controller was upgraded to 35 amp model. [48 Vdc * 35 amps = 1680 Watts to the motor.]
- Quick release axles were replaced with anti-theft axles and nuts. Originals are included.
No low ballers or tire kickers. Ride it and you will love it. But if you want to test drive it, I’ll need your ID, car keys, or something equivalent, please.
