Sizing is considered medium/medium. Captain is 5’8” tall and stoker is 5’4” tall. Captain’s top tube height is approximately 29.5” (75 cm) at center and stoker’s top tube is approximately 26.4” (67 cm) at center.
The blue painted frame is a real eye catcher that sparkles in the sunlight. The paint is fully intact with no significant scratches. The frame shows a few minor scuffs, primarily on the captain’s top tube, and two small dings with no paint loss. (Close-up photos available.)
The Rohloff Speedhub is shifted by the SRAM Rival brake levers coupled to a Gebla Rohbox. This device was installed by Rodriguez and permits upshifting using one SRAM lever and downshifting the other lever. The Rohloff Speedhub provides 14 separate gears with an incredible gear range. The internal gears are protected inside the hub, so very little cleaning or maintenance is required. An additional benefit of the Rohloff hub is that gear shifts can be made whether pedaling or not, or even while stopped at an intersection, which is a great advantage for tandem riders.
