This is a great old barstool, rescued from a boarded-up saloon in Lawrence, Kansas.
It's a sturdy piece of antique furniture, made of solid oak and built to take the wear & tear!
The seat is 15” across, padded with leather.
Of course it's been re-upholstered - like 60 or 70 years ago. It's over a hundred years old, and more like 130 years old - vetted by a pro at an auction house.
The stool is 32.5” high, the perfect seat height for a barstool.
And the crossed-beam scalloped base is 16” x 16” at the bottom (12” x 12” higher up).
This rugged old beauty has a 16” heavy iron ring mounted about 15” off the floor for a footrest.
If you are looking for an authentic antique barstool, look no further!
Weighs enough to support a big big cowboy, and the thing is steady as a rock. And all those scars just add character while showing that this stool has been around!
This tough old lumber certainly supported some rough guys in its day, and may have supported outlaws... In Lawrence Kansas, a bar stool pretty much like this one might have supported some of those bank-robbing outlaws of the roaring 20s...
A steal at 135 bucks!
