Traditional medallion motif on a mainly red and black field.
The change in colors is called abrash, which is common in tribal and village rugs. Abrash is vareigation in the wool dye batches that produces a painterly impact. The weaver is painting in wool!
Natural wool woven by village weavers. The warp and weft are cotton.
Eye-catching combination of both geometric and natural imagery.
Excellent condition for the age with minor wear. No weak areas.
The fringes and side cords are in great shape.
