I am selling a vintage United States USA Militaria collection. Included is an ashtray for cigarettes or cigars - circa World War 2 / II era, which appears to be trench art. I am not sure of it's origin. It may be as early as World War 1, but I cannot be certain. I estimate it is at least 70 - 80 years old. This particular item is made from the blade of a sword. You can see the tip of the sword protruding from the bottom. The base itself is made to look like a crest, coin or medallion from Roman times. This has not been cleaned, leaving its original patina, as not to disturb the original condition and history of this piece.
I have not seen one like it anywhere on the internet marketplace, making this one possibly unique!
I also have other antiques / collectibles available including baseball cards, beer / Coca Cola / Coke bottles / cans / signs / glasses, other World War 2 / II items, militaria, glass telephone pole insulators, sports commemorative Wheaties boxes, radios, patches, fruit crate labels, liquor decanters, vintage classic books (Gone With The Wind, Tom Sawyer, etc), political pins / buttons, historic newspapers, LIFE magazines from the 1940's & 1950's, car / auto / automotive collectibles (petroliana), etc. and various "smalls" antiques.
Let me know if you're looking for something. Give me a call to arrange to see what I have. There is too much to send additional pictures / prices beyond what is included here. Estate sale finds. Prices vary depending on the item and start at $1.00.
