Tansu Triple Chest of Drawers - Three Separate Modular Stackable Chests


• Lightweight • Surprisingly strong •

Artisan Handcrafted from keyaki (zelkova), sugi (Japanese cedar), and kiri (paulownia), similar to Pine wood. Hand hammered brass accents; recessed brass drawer handles & lock hole covers.
Middle and Base Chests have recessed iron handles, that extend to facilitate porting and, when recessed, fit into the upper trunks base, to stabilize when stacked.

Overall/ 3-Stack- 34.5”W x 16.5”D x 61.5”H

Topmost Chest- 19”H
Middle/3-Drawer Chest- 23.5”
Base/2-Drawer Chest- 19”H

Orig asking $1300, reduced to $1200, NOW JUST $1100 for all three pieces !!!

Condition: 9/10; Antique/Restored; all pieces have been throughly cleaned, finished removed, sanded down to 220Grit, to remove most of times ravages.

It is ready for your choice of stain and traditional Japanese lacquer finish.

I subtracted (-1) for the few nicks, gouges & slight discolorations that decorate and celebrate the history of nearly two hundred years of use.

The drawers fit snugly, slide out smoothly, hardware are original and work well.
