Rare 1800s Silver Koftgari Accent Bearing Inlay Indo-Persian Mughal Knife Dagger
This is a beautiful Indo Persian knife. It is most likely from the late 1800s. Has a carved groove inlaid with bearings that functions as a blood groove. The edge is decently sharp and the tip is still in good condition. The silver inlay on the handle is quite nicely done. There are a couple of spots on the back of the handle at the butt where it is peeling up ever so slightly. Very beautiful, antique piece and great overall condition, considering its age. There are a couple bearings that do not roll, but the rest can be rolled if you push them. Take a look at all the photos to see general condition, dimensions and weight. There are many tourist reproductions made with these bearing in layers, but I believe this to be an old original. Came from a large indoor Persian Antique weapon collection.
