This is an incredible Turkmen horse whip made of silver gilded bronze with incredible inlay work of carnelian and turquoise. It is in fantastic condition considering that it is from the middle of the 1800s and is an incredible work of art. The Türkmen are an Oğuz-Turkic-speaking people that inhabit Turkmenistan but also have sizeable populations in Afghanistan, Turkey, and other Central-Asian countries. They are famous for their masterfully made jewelry. Their jewelry is typically made of high-quality silver and carnelian stones. Openwork designs, granulation, and gilding are common traits of their work.
