I'm selling this stunning, solid oak 2-piece ephemera/ flat-file cabinet, dating to approx the 1910s. This piece was originally from an Illinois post office and was delivered in 1920. This information as well as the manufacturer's name is stamped on the bottom of both the upper and lower section but I didn't get an opportunity to photograph those. This wonderful piece features beautiful oak construction, many shelves of all sizes and brass hardware. This piece also comes with the original keys. Both locks on the upper and lower section are functional but the upper section doesn't seem to lock. This cabinet is reassuringly heavy and rock solid. It shows wear commensurate with age including scuffs, marks, dings, finish wear, chips etc.
Measures: 84" tall x 42" long x 22" wide.
Pick up is available from my Berkeley workshop, near the Gilman Whole Foods.
