Gunnar Erman has, for many years, been one of Sweden's leading designers of modern art. His unique style and flair for bright, rich colors come together in paintings of abstract and surreal motifs, each offering contemporary elegance and capturing all the beauty of modern colors and contrast. Born and raised in Sweden, Gunnar studied under some of the countries foremost artists: Bestil Landelius, and Franz Lundberg. After graduating from Konsthogskolan in Stockholm, he began to gain popularity for his larger decorator pieces, used by some of the most well known interior designers in Sweden and Denmark. A number of Ermans paintings have been seen in films and TV shows , and many of his larger paintings grace the walls of some of Southern California's best known restaurants and hotels. He was chosen among 17 artists to create a 5 foot by 40 foot abstract and seven smaller paintings for the Hilton Hotel in Palm Springs, California. Other Clients include Century City, Beverly Hills, Universal Studios, Tokai Bank.
