I'm going solar so moving to a heat pump water heater. This has been the best water heater I've ever owned. Minimal maintenance, no gas flue to worry about, filling a jacuzzi tub doesn't tax it. It's about 17 years old, but it's in fantastic shape and we have 5 people in the home taking showers consecutively, so works flawlessly. It's so well insulated that it only turns on about three times daily in the winter, for about 2 minutes each time.
As you can tell, I can't say enough about it. If you don't buy this one, you'd do well to go check it out and pay the 6k for a new one.
