This unit is on the top floor and is VERY sunny. It is in a VERY SAFE, very QUIET part of Downtown/St Vincent's Hill area 5 mins from the waterfront in Vallejo (good for those who like running, biking, sailing, and rowing club or who have jobs in SF!).
Landlords have spent a lot of time (and money) to make sure it is functionally safe (new foundation, windows, new gas heater, new water heater, etc.) and beautiful. It is really up-to-date w/r/t energy efficiency and function, while maintaining the aesthetics of the 1930s with original tile and beautiful HW floors.
Since I'm a tenant, I can answer your questions honestly. I moved here from N.Oakland/Bushrod 6 years ago and love it. This part of town is very diverse, neighborly, walkable, and entrepreneurial. We're close enough to the water to occasionally hear the sea lions hunting salmon up the Napa River. If you are new to Vallejo, it is a big town, maintaining a small town, friendly vibe.
The complex is a fourplex on the front, and a duplex on the back of the property, with a beautiful, flower-filled patio/BBQ area. Since the units have offices, most of us are WFH with occasional trips to SF via the ferry for in-office days. It's a nice life! We have an English Bull Terrier, and Ambull Pit Mix, and a Stafford as residents, so please be dog friendly. They are all walked and well taken care of...we're lucky to have landlords who are ALL BREED FRIENDLY and want to keep it that way! If you have a dog, please be certain that your dog management skills are on point and that your dog will be OK with a flight of steep stairs.
Our community is quiet and respectful, in both the complex and the street. The avg. age for downtown VJO is 40, so the days of drunk parties are over... it is silent by 9pm.
