Located near 14th and Jackson, a studio efficiency (less than 300sqft) with a kitchenette and bath is being offered as a new job is providing housing for me. Rent is $1,100/mo (utilities and pge included). I'll be paying for April so this is great for someone looking for an immediate move. There are elevators (though one is being serviced currently) and a laundry room (pay via app) that houses a section for mail and a package locker.
There's a little bodega next to the entry for all of you grocery and essential needs as well. Though they do have a gate parking area, I'm not sure if there are vacant spaces (I could have this answer prior to a response). The area is generally safe but note noise due to being just off the downtown area. You'd be a few blocks from Lake Merritt (near the Oakland Library) and a few eateries like Pintoh Thai, Timeless and more.
I'm looking to have this situated by the middle of April; end of April at the latest. You'd likely have to go through the screening and financial verification as well but once you're in, it's generally easy. The unit is on the 7th floor (south facing), neighbors are actually quiet on my floor and generally sweet (most speak if you do.). You'd be taking over the lease (I'll check if there is a fee for this too). Most people have dogs in this building; even better if you have an esa letter as well.
