Welcome to our fully-furnished tiny home, built from the shell of a WWII battle ship--literally living inside the walls of a piece of history!
The tiny home has a super comfy lofted double bed, bathroom with shower stall, kitchenette with fridge, sink, double burner, and a spacious living area. Tenants have a private entrance thru a gate with code keypad, and full access to the backyard.
Our tiny home is situated in East Oakland's Havenscourt neighborhood, a diverse community with friendly neighbors in close proximity to all of the Bay's beauty. Our neighbors are amazing and folks are well connected out here. Every Friday there is a food giveaway in front of our home, filled with organic amazing blessing! Many people have been here for 10, 20, or 60 years. There are elders and babies and everyone in between! We’re a residential area so not much to walk to restaurant-wise (a new Jamaican spot that's good!), but in close walking distance (5 min) there is a coffee shop, supermarket, and a few parks.
Close driving distance (8 min) to great restaurants and cafes in the Laurel district, close to hiking trails and parks, and a quick drive (12 min) to Lake Merritt and downtown Oakland.
My 3-year-old and I live in the main house and often have community gatherings, guests, and lots of lively energy in our home :) I'd love someone who wants to cook, garden, or share community in other ways together.
Garden has 8 veggie beds, 24 fruit trees, an abundant passionfruit vine that fruits all summer/fall, and lots of space to rest, play, and pray!
Max capacity: 2 adults.
No pets (do not ask, please do not waste both of our time!).
No smoking inside.

Application will entail income verification and references from recent landlords.
6 or 12-month lease possibilities. $1800/month (for 1 occupant) $2000 for two occupants. A security deposit of $1800 is required.
