Appliances: Dishwasher, electric stove and refrigerator supplied.
Unit: middle floor location, at back of building, up one staircase.
View: looks toward backyard trees/parking/neighbor.
Facing the back, not the front street.
Parking: $85 monthly, on-site but un-protected from rodent damages or criminal theft.
Laundry: clothes washer/dryer machines on-site, coin operated, in basement.
No pets, animals, dogs, cats, birds, turtles, frogs, or snakes allowed.
Living room: approximately 12 feet by 14 feet.
Kitchen: approximately 10 feet by 11 feet.
Bedroom: approximately 11 feet by 14 feet.
Closet: approximately 8 feet by 3 feet.
Bathroom: approximately 6 feet by 6 feet.
Flooring: hardwood planks, ceramic tile.
Heat source: electric baseboard heaters.

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but nobody disputes this is the best looking property on the block. Factor in a wonderful location near shopping and Lake Merritt, and on-site amenities such as laundry, and parking, then you've got an absolute winner!

Just one block away is scenic Lake Merritt, particularly the newly designed Lakeshore Avenue with bicycle paths and lawn picnic areas. Wedding pictures, anyone? Lake Merritt's historic pergola and colonnade with three loggias are nearby. Interested in the most popular Farmer's Market in Oakland? That's at the Splash Pad, where a very successful Farmer's Market happens every Saturday morning. Don't spread the word; this event is already too busy with crowds. Prefer to shop at bigger stores? A Lucky supermarket is situated 10 minutes west. Want more shopping and entertainment? Lakeshore Avenue has a Trader Joe's, Arizmendi pastries and bread (they open at 7am and the line is out the door already) and Lakeshore Cafe (fabulous breakfast), not to mention Rolling Dunes (check out their desserts), Philadelphia Cheese Steak Shop (best value all around), Top Dog Hot Dogs (bockwurst, kielbasa, calabrese, bratwurst...), Chipotle Mexi-can Grill, Peet's Coffee, Noah's Bagels (half off prices after 3pm) and Starbucks. The latest iPhones and iPads can be obtained at ATandT and Verizon stores along Lakeshore Avenue too. Seeking a special hamburger? Flipside is recommended. Grand Avenue has the historic Grand Lake Movie Theater ($5 matinee prices) and the new Boot and Shoe pizza (Pizzaiolo's second location), in addition to Mijori sushi, and The Star Pizza. The newest, and already popular(!), restaurant is Grand Lake Kitchen, along the western end of Grand Ave. All are within walking distance to this apartment.

"Casual carpool" to San Francisco? That's blocks away, by highway 580 and Lakeshore Ave.
BART? The Lake Merritt Station is closest, about a 25 minute walk, 1.25 miles.
Buses? They run along Lakeshore Ave, one block away.

Utilities? Tenant pays electricity, telephone, internet, cable TV expenses, and bulky trash (such as furniture disposal) not fitting into weekly dumpster/cans. Landlords pays water, sewer, and trash collection fees for items that fit inside the weekly disposal cans.

Note: $85 automobile parking spaces are un-protected. Backyard parking is not gated. Previously, theft of items has occurred in cars. Neighborhood rodents raccoons and rats (seeking warmth, food, and shelter) have made, or tried to make, their nesting homes in car engines before. Property owner is unable to guarantee against this type of event.

Come for a free tour of this home. Excellent credit is necessary. We will contact prior landlords for reference checks. Sorry, no frogs, turtles, snakes, dogs or cats allowed.
