We are located in a beautiful rural neighborhood. The house is very bright and open.
All rooms have spectacular views over the Russian River and adjacent hills.
We frequently see deer, eagles, and osprey from the deck. It's a short walk
to the beach and swimming and a short drive to the Healdsburg town square.
Healdsburg is 65 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and is the center of
Sonoma County wine country. Healdsburg has a great town square with public WiFi
access and is lined with cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries, and tasting rooms.
The town is surrounded by the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and the
Alexander Valley. Healdsburg is only 45 minutes from the coast, and is a great
base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring wine country.

The location is great--- it's on the same block as University Ave, just steps away from the former Facebook HQ. You can walk to Stanford or take the free Marguerite shuttle. I'm happy to talk about startups/technology. Your room has a balcony overlooking the Caltrain station, so as a result it can be a little noisy if the train is coming in/out. There is plenty of overnight parking. From 8am to 5pm (Mon-Fri) there is a 2 hour limit per zone. You can also buy a parking pass from city hall or pay for a spot at the CalTrain station. Loved the log cabin, first time we have stayed on the West Shore on recommendation from friends in San Francisco – it felt like Tahoe 20 years ago. We preferred it to the South Lake Tahoe & North Lake Tahoe areas which have grown “too” fast. SnowMen building and Snow-Shoeing at the creek were the best!

Homewood Ski Resort is one of our favorite ski locations and being so close we didn’t have to rush in the morning to get to the slopes – we even came back for lunch one day. Kids enjoyed sledding down to the creek on the property. We’ll be back.

3 years new 3BR+Loft/2BA log house & 2BR/1BA cabin on McKinney Creek, on the quiet & rustic West Shore of Lake Tahoe. Our log home and cabin have been custom built with hand-peeleld 14 inch Engleman Spruce logs by craftsmen from British Columbia. Property has convenient car access, is heavily wooded and close to all conveniences.
House and cabin have open floor plans with log beams and vaulted ceilings, Monterey Pine paneling, Mexican tile and hardwood floors. The Tahoma Market PDQ is ¾ mile south and Tahoe City is 12 minutes north with shops, grocery stores and restaurants.

Sure, staying in town might be cheaper, but at what expense? Why squeeze your family into a small motel room, get up early in the morning, drive to a resort, pay for parking, hike in carrying all your gear (and the gear from your kids) from the parking lot, and then reverse the process at the end of the day. Renting from me you can drive to the resort, park outside the condo, wake up and cook breakfast in the condo (thereby avoiding the high price of breakfast somewhere else), walk outside the door, and be on the slopes. For lunch ski back to the condo, make a healthy lunch (and avoid the $12 burrito and $5 soda cost) warm up and begin afternoon skiing fresh. At the end of the day you simply ski back to the condo open up a nice bottle (of something), and relax.
Fall in the Gold Country is showy with Autumnal Color, beautiful soft light, perfect days reaching into the 70's, and cooler, clear nights. A perfect setting for a glass of wine on the deck under a blanket as night approaches.
TARA is only 10-15 minutes away from the Gold Rush Towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley. 2BR-1BA log cabin in Homewood, on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore, 8 miles south of Tahoe City. Cabin is built with 14 inch hand-peeled Engleman Spruce logs by craftsmen from British Columbia. Year-round McKinney Creek runs through our large & private 2 acre lot. Property has convenient car access, is heavily wooded, quiet, and close to all conveniences.
The cabin has an open floor plan with log beams and vaulted ceilings, Monterey Pine wood paneling, Mexican Tile and hardwood floors. It is decorated in a “Tahoe Style” to compliment the beautiful rustic interior.
Cabin sleeps 5+ with one queen bed in bedroom #1, one double bed and twin bunk beds in bedroom #2 (bring your own bed linens and shower & kitchen towels - or we can arrange to provide them for an additional fee) – all beds have pillows, blankets and comforters. A Vermont-Castings cast iron stove with glass doors is located in the front room & bedrooms have electric baseboard heaters.
Cabin is 4-years-new and professionally cleaned after each rental.
Private 2 acres leads down to year-round McKinney Creek with room for private winter snow play. Lake Tahoe is a short 1/2 mile walk or drive to the Chambers Landing public beach & pier. Homewood Ski Resort is 1 mile from the cabin. Tahoe City is 12 minutes north with shops, grocery stores and restaurants. The Tahoma Market PDQ, great for last minute shopping, is 1 mile south.
Favorite spots near the cabin include Homewood Ski Resort, Chambers Landing Beach/Dock, Meeks Bay Beach, the West Shore Blvd Bike Path, Sunnyside Restaurant, Obexer’s public boat launch & dock, Sugar Pine Point, DL Bliss and Emerald Bay state parks. Squaw Valley (1968 Olympic Site) and Alpine Meadows ski resorts are 15 minutes north. North & south shore casinos are a 30 minute drive.
Cabin is $190.00 p/night, with minimum stay requirements for major holidays. A cleaning fee of $105.00 is required for each rental period and we require a refundable $200.00 security deposit.
For larger groups, rent our 3BR+Loft/ 2BA Log Home along with the cabin. Home’s main deck and private loft deck overlook McKinney creek. House and cabin together offer 5 full bedrooms + Loft with queen futon (sleeps 14+), two kitchens and 3 bathrooms.

Agate Bay is a beautiful and protected cove which is between Kings Beach and Tahoe City, so you are close to everything: skiing at major resorts, snow shoeing, tobogganing, gambling and many fine restaurants. Some of the major ski resorts also have shuttles which will pick you up close to the house and return you home again – without the hassle of parking a car.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed with private deck and firepit as well as a private bathroom and dressing area. There are two other bedrooms, one with queen size 4 poster bed and one with two twin beds (which can be converted into a king). There is also a memory foam queen inflatable mattress if you require extra sleeping space (we do allow 2 children in addition to 6 adults).
The front deck provides an extensive view of the lake and is equipped with a dining table and two rocking chairs. The deck is also completely fenced and gated to protect your children and pets.
The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs including a Cuisinart, blender, Calphalon cookware, bakeware including pie plates and rolling pin as well as table settings to accommodate up to 12 guests for dinner. The stainless steel kitchen appliances include a gas cooktop, two extra large ovens and a french door refrigerator (there is also an extra fridge in the garage for overflow groceries).

DESCRIPTION
This great Tahoe cabin has a wonderful friendly feel to it. Don't be fooled, it's bigger than it looks from the front (it's L shaped) with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The quiet neighborhood contains an eclectic mix of older cabins and it's close to everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Heavenly Ski Resort and the casinos are five minutes away, Reagan Beach is within half a mile and you can walk to the recreation center with it's heated outdoor swimming pool and ice skating rink.
The knotty pine interiors provide a cosy Tahoe charm and there are all the comforts of home. The fully fenced backyard has a deck, gas barbeque and picnic table. Inside is a well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, two TVs with DVDs, books, games, wireless internet and a crib and highchair for our smaller guests. We are pet friendly for well-behaved dogs ($25 per visit).

Located at 2024 Leavenworth Street, this beautiful flat is perfect for any occasion, whether it be a weekend away, an extended vacation, or a corporate rental. Less than a block to the 41 and 45 Union Street bus lines, it is also one block from the Powell-Hyde Cable Car line and two blocks from the popular twisted stretch of Lombard Street.
A reservation fee of $200 is required in advance and will also be used as the security deposit once the rental begins. Payments for rentals under one month must be paid in full in cash at the time of arrival or at the time of reservation if by check. The security deposit will be returned at the time of departure less any cost for damage.
