It is situated in one of the most upscale neighborhoods of the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. 2 minutes drive to main casinos area and about 3 minutes drive to either Heavenly Valley’s Nevada or boulder lift or the gondola entrance at the Stateline California side.
The cabin boasts new hardwood floors, granite counter tops, marble floors, stainless steel appliances and cabin theme decor. There are 2 large granite wood burning fireplaces.
Parking for 2 in garage and 5 or 6 cars outside. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and can accommodate up to 12 people.
One bedroom has two queen beds. The second bedroom has two twin bunk beds.
The third bedroom/family room/loft has a sleeper sofa and log futons to accommodate more guests. This room has multiple uses.
Relax outside on the multi-level decks and enjoy the view of the wildlife in the National forest that borders the front of our property.
Soak in the 8-person gazebo covered Jacuzzi spa (hot tub). Climb up our own private granite boulder mountain and you can view the lake.
The cabin also features an Xbox with some games, Satellite TV with a home theater surround system, DVD, CD, Tape and a plug to connect your MP3 player into the high-powered stereo system. Have fun playing a game of eight ball on a beautiful brand new pool table in the game room. A computer with high-speed Internet access is available for use, as is high-speed wireless access if you prefer to use your own laptop.
This is family owned and maintained; we take great pride in our cabin!

    My location is the best, you're only 5 minutes from the Casinos and the the Lake Tahoe beaches, but a world away from the congestion and the viewless lots of flat South Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Rim Trail runs right past the front door. This is on top of the Mountain at the Stagecoach Ski Lift overlooking it all. You also have free access to the privately managed pool and hot tub which is professionally cleaned by our Homeowner's Association. A super place to relax on top of the Mountain.

    You'll also want to let me know if you want to save the $150 cleaning fee...most of my guests do. You simply agree to leave the home spotless and ready for the next guests....that way you just pay $30 for my manager to drive up and check the place out after you depart. A great way to save $120.

The room will be repainted at some point in January, so it may be a nice celery green instead of white.

    The Apartment:

    An early 1900s six-unit apartment building with secure gate. You will have use of the vegetarian kitchen and living room as well as sharing the bathroom with my female housemate. The shower has great water pressure and has never run out of hot water yet! There is an on-site coin laundry downstairs. My housemate is over 60 but cool, friendly, tidy, works full-time and can be sociable or do her own thing. Sharing the bathroom with her is easy. She also has a very friendly, loving cat who is kept out of my room. Cat lovers will adore her and even non-cat lovers do, too! This is a tidy, nonsmoking apartment and we appreciate the same in our guests.

    The Location:

    Popular, historic and centrally located Haight-Ashbury. There are plenty of public transit options, cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques and many great neighborhoods within walking distance. No need for a car in S.F.! We're across from the Panhandle Park and one block from lush, beautiful Golden Gate Park, which stretches all the way out to the beach. The apartment faces the backyard, so there is no street noise and it's generally quiet.

    The Details:

    A $200 damage/security deposit is required to reserve the apartment. This may be done at least 24 hrs in advance via PayPal or upon arrival in cash. The deposit is returned 48 hours after check-out pending inspection. *Please keep in mind this is my home and personal bedroom. If any damages or evidence of smoking are found upon inspection, the deposit will not be refunded.*

    Our group is very easy going and fun. The current age range in the house is 28 to 42 with a mix of skiers and snowboarders. The group tends to go up mainly on weekends and just about everybody lives in SF. We are looking to have a total of 5 people on the lease this year. Guests that come up are charged $25 a night which goes into the house fund to cover any extra costs through the season. Last year each member got back their security deposit back. We also use a group calendar and email list to help communicate when people will be around, carpools and how many guests they are bringing. The house will sleep 8-10 comfortably and more if need be
    .

The long meadow at Dawn Ranch Lodge has been the setting for spectacular weddings and intimate ceremonies for over a century. We are an ideal venue for corporate retreats and family reunions. We are also a dog-friendly resort.

    Dawn Ranch Lodge features the award-winning Roadhouse Restaurant, which offers an extensive wine list from the Russian River appellation, known for their fine Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, and features some of the finest organic produce from Napa and Sonoma counties.

    Amongst our many amenities, Dawn Ranch Lodge has private river access and a pool, and resort-wide wireless internet access.

    A note on winter lodging - Our quaint cabins and cottages are over 100 years old, and like most old buildings, things don't quite fit the way they used to... consequently, you may notice some small gaps around your window or door that can be drafty, depending on the weather. However, we do our level best to keep you comfortable--all of our chalets are equipped with natural gas heaters and are the warmest accommodations we offer in winter time. The rest of our cabins have electric wall heaters, and we provide an extra soft and warm feather bed topping for your mattress, in addition to warm fleece bedding, so you will be nice and cozy during the night, but do expect these particular rooms to be chilly in the morning.

    AREA ATTRACTIONS

    * There are over fifty wineries located within minutes of Dawn Ranch, and the world-famous wine-growing region of Napa Valley is just 30 minutes away.
    * We are only an hour and twenty minutes outside of San Francisco.
    * Spend an afternoon swimming or boating on the Russian River. Boat, kayak and canoe rentals are available locally. The Russian River is also home to some of the finest Steelhead fishing in the world.
    * Take a 1.5 mile cycle or stroll through magical groves of ancient redwoods at the beautifully maintained Armstrong Woods National Park.
    * Take a day trip winding your way through some of Northern California's most picturesque coastal towns. Visit Bodega Bay (setting for Alfred Hitchcock's famous movie "The Birds"), tour Point Reyes National Seashore, where some of California's finest organic cheeses are produced, or dine on cioppino while overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Jenner.
