Introduction
This will be a paid assignment to individuals from various foreign countries for doing a short video shoot of various commonly used phrases and sentences in their native language. We are looking to work with natives speakers of Korean, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Greek, Czech, Russian, Polish, and Hindi for this assignment.

Our company is working on a Language Phrasebook App for mobile platforms including iPhone and Android. We have developed a product that is aimed at providing visitors/tourists in non-English speaking countries a tool to effectively communicate in the native language of the country. Hence, for example, if you are visiting China on a holiday or business trip, chances are you would need to speak the language to get around, order meals and shop around. Our software will help you do that by being a constant companion on your trip.

FAQs
What is involved for the Candidates?
We invite women candidates from non-English speaking countries to apply for this position. For the current phase, we are looking for candidates who are natives speakers of Korean, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Greek, Czech, Russian, Polish, or Hindi.

Is this a paid assignment?
Yes, this is a paid assignment and each candidate will be paid $250 - $300 for about 2-3 hours of video shooting time.

What is the selection process?
Interested candidates will be asked to submit a brief profile of themselves which will include their name, their native country's name, a brief about themselves and a few photographs. After shortlisting candidates, our project manager will meet with the candidates to finalize the candidates for each country.

Is there any nudity involved?
There is absolute no nudity involved. The application is targeted towards families, business people and tourists visiting non-English speaking countries.

Why only women?
The primary reason for having female applicants only is that our first criteria is to have consistency in the voice across all categories of phrases. Hence we need to choose between male only vs. female only. For an app like this we feel that female voices work better as the voice is softer compared to male voices. Also, the app is named "Language Hostess".

What will the candidate need to do on the day of the shoot?
On the day of the shoot, the candidate will need to come to a recording studio in San Francisco. The candidates will need to wear/bring 2-3 sets of clothes (attire which would be worn for a night out in San Francisco) with evening wear make-up and hair. Candidates will be in front of a camera and will be shown slides of phrases that they will need to repeat. The entire process should last 2-3 hours per candidate after which the candidate can get paid and go home. The Language Hostess Project Manager (Krista Miles) will be with the candidates at all times during the shoot and will help candidates through all steps of the recording process. The shooting will take place on a Saturday.

How and where will the video recordings be used?
The video recordings will be used within the Language Hostess family of applications. The video recordings may also be used for other related applications and promotional media including websites, FaceBook and YouTube.

TV/Film Producer (financial district)

I'm in the process of developing RANGER BILL, a weird animated action TV series about park rangers. This past summer, I worked as a ranger in Yosemite National Park to breathe real-world experience into the project. The rough cut of the pilot episode (~20 minutes) was recently completed. Three other episodes have been scripted and the initial voice work is complete. What I've done so far is re-workable -- a rough sketch of the characters and exposition.

Now, what I need is a capable PRODUCER, preferably with connections and fund-raising experience, to help me either obtain modest funding to finish the four episode arc (which will be an 80-minute film/mini-series that could be entered into film festivals) or a development deal for this project. I need someone who can attract investors and agents; someone who is good at marketing; someone who genuinely believes in the project; and, most importantly, someone who can initially work for free.

This person (or group of people) will receive 20% (negotiable) of any deal or funding they draw into the project. If you are effective, you will reap the rewards. And, you'll have the option to be a partner on the project as it grows, which could mean further monetary compensation.

I want someone who I can trust and, again, genuinely believes in the project. Obviously, not everyone will like this style of weird, eccentric animation, but somewhere (like on Adult Swim, for example) there is definitely an audience for it. This is an opportunity for you to grow with an independent creative project from the ground floor up.

We need an editor who knows Final Cut Pro 7 to compose 10 hours of interview footage and ~200 still photos into a documentary-like video. Goal of editing is to tighten up the content, add transitions, lower third/titles, place photos in chronological order, etc. Almost all of the original footage should be included in the final result, we just need someone to clean it up and put it together. Video was shot on Canon SLR in 1080p mpeg4. Photos are JPG/RAW.

Prompt, professional, respectful and reliable students with strong camera skills and openness to direction are required. Responsibilities include: equipment set up, operation and tear down of production equipment, camera operation during live conferences, and assisting our in-house director.

Our conferences are 3 days long, Thursday through Saturday, and are scheduled once or twice a month. Set up is on Wednesday late afternoon. Camera operators will be onsite for full-day taping (approximately 10 hours per day). Applicants must be able to lift heavy equipment, have a current driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Lunch, parking and refreshments are provided to production staff. We offer a broadcasting internship which pays $15.00 per hour.

School credit is not required for this internship / position. Students will gain hands on experience working with a production team and learn various aspects of video production that can be transferred to future endeavors.

The job is physically demanding. You must be strong and healthy to move and set up DJ equipment.

The Disc Jockey will use equipment exclusively provided by the Company (and to the Company's specifications), including CD and digital controllers, mixers, lights, speakers, and amplifiers. The Disc Jockey works on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional events on weekday nights. This position can easily complement a regular M-F, 9AM-6PM type job, but you need to have excellent availability on Saturdays, specifically. This is not a good position for a person that already has a very busy life.

Additional preparatory work is often required of the Disc Jockey, such as email communication and meeting clients for consultations. For a typical six hour gig, the Disc Jockey might only "spin" for two hours. That said, the Disc Jockey is paid for all preparatory work, client meetings, and hours worked on the day of the event (usually around 6-10 total hours per function). Extensive training on all aspects of the Disc Jockey position (equipment, selecting music, and public speaking using a microphone) will be provided to all candidates hired.

FIELD PRODUCERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR...
-Executing his/her shoot days to perfection. You must be able to take control of the schedule for the day, always thinking one step ahead, making sure all pieces are in place.
-Documenting shoot information. We keep very accurate camera logs, recording various pieces of information as we shoot.
-Planning and designing shots. Our content is almost all shot on Steadicam with experienced operators, so you must be able to communicate with the Steadicam Operator effectively in order to capture the best shot possible.
-Performing tasks as a Camera Assistant. You must be familiar with commonly used HD cameras (7D, 5D MKII, EX1, etc.) and be able to correctly set focus, exposure, etc.
-Keeping content consistent, effectively translating our shooting style to a wide variety of shooting situations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have previous experience in film/video production, either on set or in the field. We will need applicants to quickly learn our operation methods and style and be able to implement it producing many short videos per week.

COMPENSATION
At first, Field Producers will be paid a competitive day rate. There will, however, be opportunity for advancement within the company. As a rapidly growing start-up, we will be constantly expanding our teams in NYC, San Francisco and throughout the nation. This position could very well develop into a part or full time position down the road.

� As a representative of AVT management, provide highest level of professionalism and
customer service and integrity when dealing with customers, vendors, and AVT team

� Upon handoff of the client from account management, manage the technical requirements
of events from creation to execution. Investigate and suggest solutions to support the
client's goal and anticipate what they need. Ensure content is client approved/certified as
well as compliant with client policies. Arrange for the creation and development of set and
lighting designs as needed. Create a comprehensive equipment list in the order entry
software. Obtain client signoff on the scope, timetable and cost prior to event.
� With team members, coordinate the logistics for the event including but not limited to
staffing, equipment, vendors, lodging, transportation, incidentals, etc. Manage the room
configuration, load in, setup, tear down and preparation for transport back of audio visual
equipment. Monitor and exemplify proper safety procedures.
� Meet and greet clients at the event. Liaison between the client and the production crew on
events to ensure effective communication and coordination. Collaborate with account
management to follow up with internal and external staff to review the positive and
negatives that unfolded throughout the event and find future solutions to any problems
that may have come up.
� Work with operations management to analyze, create, and implement a consistent
training program for production staff to ensure growth and scalability along with the
sourcing of supplemental technically proficient staff.

OTHER SKILLS:
� Strong written/verbal communication and public contact
� Effective teamwork, leadership, motivational, and problem solving
� Managing multiple priorities and project management
� Detail oriented with ability to work independently and proactively.

� Possession of a valid driver's license with a clear driving record
