There are several advantages to renting from me, the building owner. Hey, you are legal! You don't need to pretend you are some ones cousin. The units have everything you need, but the closets and bathroom cabinets are free of someone else's stuff. I am a small, hand’s on landlord with great pride in my building and it shows. Everything is very clean and in good repair. I have a small but terrific staff that helps me maintain the building. Our living room is comfortable & cozy with lots of windows and gorgeous views. It’s a great perch in the afternoon for watching the fog roll over Twin Peaks. It has hardwood floors, comfy couches, a TV with premium cable, a DVD/VCR player, a turntable and a fireplace. We have a large, functional kitchen that you’re welcome to use. We are friendly to all kinds of food. There’s an enclosed wooden deck that runs the length of the living room & kitchen. Downstairs is our garage with our washer & dryer. The garage can be rented for parking or storage for $200/month or $50/week. Please check with us to ensure that it’s available. The front door leads onto Kite Hill, an amazing piece of open space with spectacular views of of the city. It’s the neighborhood’s backyard, perfect for playing with dogs or having a picnic.
LOCATION
The location is ideal. We're on Grand View Terrace of off Grand View Avenue in the Castro. It's literally in the center of the city. A 10-minute walk will get you to the Castro, Noe Valley, Cole Valley or Haight Ashbury. These are all unique neighborhoods with great stores, restaurants and bars. Downtown is easily accessible by walking to the Castro and hopping on a train or streetcar. We're near some MUNI bus lines (24, 33, 35, 48). BART is about a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bus ride. Both highway 280 and 101 are easily accessible by car. Street parking is easy. We’ve never had to park more than a half block away.
ABOUT US
We are Marie (dog walker, 25, kitehillcanines.com) and Jill (belly dancer, 39, queer, jillparkerbellydance.com). We’ve been living in this flat for 2+ years. We love our home and love to share it with friendly, respectful, interesting people. We’re typically up & about around 10 in the morning. Our schedules vary by day. We’re typically in & out throughout the day & early evening. We usually like to hang out and unwind in the evenings, cooking, watching TV, working on projects, etc. You’re welcome to be involved in our little household or be doing your own thing. THE PETS
We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. Lila is a bossy dachshund/basenji. Junkyard is a weird Italian greyhound/terrier. Hani is a mellow Australian Cattle Dog. Chrissy is a fat sassy cat. Sabina is an awkward but sweet cat. This probably sounds like a lot of animal, but we all co-exists fairly peacefully. The dogs are usually gone during the day and cats patrol the house. We'll consider another creature as long it gets along with our brood.
