The Lean/SS leader will be responsible for leading/coordinating the overall efforts for Randtron Antenna Systems. The Leader will work closely with the site Steering Committee, key Operations and Quality managers, and personally lead Lean/SS initiatives, training and related activity. The Lean/SS leader will act as site champion to ensure effective project execution, per plan, to ensure targeted measurable results are achieved
Major Responsibilities:
1. Develop overall site strategy with RAS Steering Committee and external consultants to establish appropriate scope and direction of program initiative.
2. Define charters for Lean projects and document key deliverables, activities, timelines, and responsibilities. Plan, Lead and Implement targeted Lean/SS projects or Kaizen events as needed to support the overall initiative scope and direction
3. Act as primary resource for developing and communicating the site strategy to all key stakeholder groups within Randtron, including general presentations, project reviews, lessons learned, program status and accomplishments, and use of newsletter and All-hands communication vehicles
4. Lead scorecard/key metrics development to monitor progress both before and after process redesign and ensure alignment with overall site objectives and metrics
5. Lead identification and implementation of project specific training in addition to other general Lean/SS training requirements
6. Build relationships with all key stakeholders and internal customers needed to deliver project results including identifying and breaking down barriers/obstacles, and collaborating with key players to influence change
7. Participate as site representative for L-3 Corporation Lean Six Sigma Users group, for regular teleconferences and act accordingly to provide or disseminate information as needed.
8. Lead efforts and projects initially with Operations and Quality function with longer term engagement with Design and Transactional groups within Randtron, in a similar manner.

Education/Experience/Training:
Requires a college degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
Requires minimum of certification to a Lean/Six Sigma BlackBelt recognized program, with preferred 2-4 years experience with Lean/SS project execution. Previous experience or project implementation in related areas of manufacturing, quality, or engineering for low volume/medium mix, a plus.
Working knowledge of software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Access, Minitab or JMP, Project Management, Simulation modeling or other Lean/SS applications.

Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion. Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and squat. Able to occasionally push, and reach. Ability to type for extended periods of time. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands. Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment. Will be exposed to some or all of the following: fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. May be required to move items 25 pounds for distances of up to 25 feet. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
