ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking to add a full-time experienced Web Developer to join our team developing web applications for both the consumer space and internal business organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering web applications using a wide range of tools and technologies working with a small team of dedicated engineers and business personnel.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of web design and development and must have a proven track record of delivering high quality applications in a fast paced environment. We are looking for engineers who have shown leadership and creativity in the development of new web applications and have been involved all the way through from concept through to deployment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be hands on across a large number of web development projects and be responsible for helping to take those projects from creative storyboard through to completion. You will be working in cross functional teams that include members from business and creative teams as well as engineering personnel.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years experience with design, development and deployment of Web applications in a LAMP environment.
• Proven experience with JavaScript (jQuery), CSS, PHP (5), XHTML and XML.
• Drupal multi-site management, module development and theme expertise
• Web service integration: soap/rest/xml
• Able to work with PSD’s, slice your own images, create & style your own layouts
• Proven leader, self-motivated
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to deliver practical results against deadlines
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Drupal module development experience (5 and 6)
• Linux, Apache, MySql, Smarty, Wordpress
• Familiar with Scrum or a similar agile process
• Past experience with EC2, S3
• Social API’s (facebook connect, twitter, etc)
